An Exceptional Location
A historic monument of the Southern Alps, between lake and mountain, Château de Picomtal is located in the Hautes Alpes at the entrance to the Écrins Mountain Range, yet still in the Provencal climate.
Located near beautiful roads (Route Napoléon) and incredible mountain passes (Galibier, Izoard...) for the joy of riders (motorcycle and cycling) and car enthusiasts.
Thanks to Lake Serre-Ponçon and the Écrins Mountains, sporting activities (swimming, sailing, rafting, hiking, climbing, mountain biking, paragliding, etc.) are numerous and quickly accessible. The town of Embrun is seven minutes away by car.
The Vauban forts of Mont-Dauphin and Briançon, as well as the Abbaye of Boscodon, located close to the caslte, will delight history and architecture enthusiasts.

At Château de Picomtal in Crots, discover a varied program updated every season, including
- conferences and demonstrations
- culinary workshops, as well as gourmet dinners,
Spend half a day with a local chef and professional trainer to learn and experiment with local recipes and products. At the end of the training, you will be able to present your dishes to the guests who have come specifically to discover your preparations as part of our dinner events. On the menu: a complete meal of local and seasonal flavors, accompanied by local wine. You will share a table with other food lovers who have come to discover the various courses.
