Tuesday, August 30 at 7:30pm. Conference: "The mathematics of beauty and the beauty of mathematics" by Monica Neagoy.
In the heart of the Hautes-Alpes, next to town of Embrun, overlooking Lake Serre-Ponçon, a medieval castle offers nine charming guestrooms and suites. Your hosts, Sharon, originally from Boston and Jacques, welcome your seminars, conferences, cultural events, receptions and also organize cooking classes, concerts and guided tours in a magnificent setting in the Southern French Alps.
The Château is surrounded by its French garden, orchards, fields and forests. Water and mountain sports are all in close proximity. It is located at the entrance to Ecrins National Park (with 10,000-ft high peaks), with a climate of more than 300 days of sunshine per year.
Guestrooms are open from April until early November. You may reserve group guided tours throughout the year.
